Why Some Time In Isolation Is Good For Your Business

Have you ever experienced the problem of wanting to isolate yourself and be away from everybody around you?

This is a common thing that happens with leaders who want to create a greater impact. They find themselves feeling exhausted and their adrenals can actually shut completely, because they’re so busy being busy.

What needs to be done in this moment is to take a timeout. Instead of fighting this urge to isolate yourself, go into it and actually isolate yourself for a set period of time, maybe for two days just get away.

One of my clients goes away into the hinterlands for two days and spends time with no technology around them. They just isolate themselves, relax and tell everyone that they’re going to be gone for a set period of time. When they come back they feel rejuvenated, and what tends to happen is they don’t find the people around them so frustrating anymore.

It is a common misconception with society that there is something wrong with wanting to be away from people, when in fact it’s necessary in order to rejuvenate and allow you to bring your products into fruition.
