If You’re Slightly Out of Your League, You’re in the Right Room

Often as entrepreneurs you find yourself at events where you realise that you still have a lot of work to do, even though you thought you were doing great.

If so, you shouldn’t feel like you don’t belong. This is actually what you want.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, then it means you’re in the right room.

You want to be in a place where there’s a gap between you and everyone else, not being part of conversations where you’re listening to others and thinking  “compared to them I’m killing it”.

That’s not going to help you grow.

If you put me in a room with my father and other business leaders, I will always feel like “wow there’s more to go”.

It’s important to keep investing in yourself. You want to be a part of events where you feel like you know nothing. This will be a sacrifice to your ego, but this is the best way to learn.

In the personal development space there are trainers who don’t make you feel like you have it all together, and then there are people in the jungles where you are humbled  and make you realise you’re great but still have a long way to go.

You may be doing well in the mainstream, but wherever you go for help spend time with people in personal development who are not as known and famous, and on the business side, work with the players.

Pay to play in the business world.

Take care,
