Entheogen: Awakening the Divine is 2007 documentary film written and directed by Nikos Katsaounis, Kevin Kohley and Rod Mann. The 70-minute film is centered around ecological awareness, the evolution of consciousness, electronic dance culture, technoshamanism, the revival of shamanism and entheogenic substances.
According to co-director, Rodd Mann, the film is all about exploring different ways in which we all participate with the dance and the flow of life. The film features context from human history – our evolution and the rise of ancient civilizations and the emergence of world religion.
Entheogen: Awakening the Divine aims to answer the questions about how the revival of ancient initiatory rites of passage helps our ecological crises. How can humankind reinvent ourselves in a disenchanting world? The film aims to go deeper into the power within ourselves and awakening the divine from within.
