A maximum prison facility in Britain known as Vinneys Green Secure Unit houses to 24 children ages 10 to 17 who are serving time for committing heinous crimes. Most of the kids were taken to Vinneys Green Secure Unit because they remained a danger to the public.
“Kids Behind Bars” is a documentary that retells the back story of these juvenile delinquents who are serving time with some of UK’s most notorious criminals. The film centered around the story of three young boys, Kalem, Keieran and Tali. Kalem has been in the facility the longest while Kieran returned to jail after he was released the first time. Tali is the newest member of the group and struggled to fit in because he had problems with authority figures.
Kids Behind Bars shows a grim look at what child prisoners go through on the daily and how juvenile delinquents are given a chance to change for the better after their release.
