“The Tribal Eye” is an interesting documentary series produced by BBC focused on art, artifacts, and cultures of certain tribes. It is divided into 7 parts where the 2nd outing titled “Crooked Beak of Heaven” is presented by Sir David Attenborough presented the productive and flourishing culture of the North West American Indian tribes of Kwakiuti, Haida, and Gitksan.
The film featured some of the most fascinating things that best represent these tribes like the Potlach where someone holds a feast inviting rival clans to feed them and eventually challenge them for their properties. The totem poles were also featured in the video. It is claimed that this is the largest wooden sculpture in the world where the totems are superimposed animals representing specific titles and clans.
