Story of Korean War in Colour

As pioneers of the “In Colour” type of documentary films, Adrian Wood and Stewart Binns creates another incredible video entitled “Korea: The Forgotten War in Colour”. This 2-part documentary explores the Korean War with the help of dramatic musical score, color imagery, and the trademark sound-scapes that Wood and Binns are known for.

The first part of the film takes the viewers back to the summer of 1950 where the citizens of Korea are helplessly caught in the middle of the early stages of the Cold War. The United States and the Soviet Union were both superpowers at that time and they were competing for domination.

The second episode focuses on how diplomats and negotiators attempted to salvage peace. However, in the end, this only led to more arguments and misunderstandings. This episode also presented the effects of the battles that occurred in the Korean countryside including damaged villages and towns.
