Nuremberg: Nazis on Trial EP3/3

This series chronicles the accounts of major Nazi personalities involved in the Nuremberg Trials. It is the third part of a three-part special, originally released in 2006 in a documentary format. This episode follows the account of Hitler’s deputy (Stellvertreter des Führers or “Deputy of the Führer”) and major influential proponent of the Nuremberg Laws which deprived the Jewish people of their civil and human right, leading indirectly to the Holocaust, Rudolf Walter Richard Hess.

In the trials, his charges included crimes against peace and conspiracy with other German officials to commit other crimes. Sentenced to serve for life in Spandau Prison as of 1947, he chose to commit suicide in 1987 at the age of 93.
