The industrial growth of various countries has indeed resulted in economical advantages. However, technology also paved way for more waste, resulting in a spike in garbage across the world.
Fortunately, there are people like innovative architect Michael Reynolds. Together with his crew of renegade house builders, they have been turning garbage into useful materials. Their work includes build eco-friendly and sustainable homes. He calls this technique, the “Earthship Biotechture” and began introducing this ingenious invention in New Mexico 30 years back.
“Garbage Warrior” shares a look into the fascinating life and battle Reynolds has waged against bureaucracy and government authorities. The film is shot over three years in the USA, Mexico, and India. Yet despite the fact that his inventions are cheaper and more efficient, his experimental structures are deemed illegal because they defy state standards. Reynolds hopes that this film can help encourage people to take positive steps towards utilizing eco-friendly practices as well as support the cause for preserving the environment.
