“D Day to Berlin” is an extensive three-part documentary series that relays the story of the military operations from the D-Day until they reached Normandy to end Hitler’s Third Reich. It contains several accounts from the survivors of both sides who participated in that long battle that began in Berlin. Never-before-seen footage and reenactments are also included in the film to show viewers how these people lived during such a tumultuous era. Viewers will also get an inside scoop about the unpublicized tensions between Allied commanders Montgomery and Eisenhower.
The American soldiers involved were initially afraid that the battle would reach Christmas-time. They were surprised that the war lasted for 11 months until Europe was release from the hands of the German regime.
