One of the most controversial and talked about rap artist of his generation, this documentary about Young Jeezy lets us have a glimpse of the artist through the eyes of his colleagues. The entirety of the film is narrated by the actor Samuel L. Jackson which also includes interviews from Young Jeezy’s friends from the biz, P.Diddy, Jay-Z, DJ Khaled and many more.
Aside from hearing about Young Jeezy from the people in the music industry, we also get to see him before he entered the business. The film features his childhood and how much of an impact it has had on creating the man that he is now. We get close and personal when we get to see conversations between Young Jeezy and his father (a former Marine), and mother (an ex drug addict).
The documentary highlights certain events in Young Jeezy’s childhood that he would still consider, up to this day, major influences in the music that he makes.
