Dateline’s “To Catch A Predator”, which ran from 2004 to 2007 is considered as a groundbreaking reality TV show as the series helped catch more than 200 child predators in the country. While the TV show gives a disturbing look at child predators caught in the act, a spinoff book of the same title gave an even more detailed information about the techniques predators use to target, manipulate and victimize children.
Authored by Chris Hansen, “To Catch A Predator” specify steps on how parents can protect their children, including effectively better communication. In the book, Hansen also offers parents tips on the best approaches for preventing such crimes from happening in the first place. “To Catch A Predator” also retells true stories from families who were victimized by child predators. The book aims to help both parents and children learning everything they need to know about how child predator strikes.
