Wim Hof is a Dutch daredevil and world record holder. He is most commonly known by the name Iceman for being able to withstand extremely cold conditions. He has twenty world records under his belt including the world record for the longest ice bath. His longest record for staying fully immersed in ice was 1 hour, 13 minutes and 48 seconds. His record appeared in the Guinness World Records 2008.
In The Ice Man, we get to follow Hof as he prepares to run a full marathon, all 26 miles of it, in the sub-zero temperatures of the northern Arctic Circle, wearing nothing but a pair of shorts and sandals. We get exclusive access to footage of Hof while training in Amsterdam. We see how he meditates inside a meat freezer and how he takes midnight dips in the freezing canals. We are taken on an exclusive peek at a world record in the making.
