Taboo Drugs is a documentary film originally aired in the National Geographic Channel (NGC) that divulges that various drug cultures across the planet. It is an exploration of the ups and downs of the people who utilize drugs to escape reality only to meet and challenge danger.

Follow a brave team of National Geographic Channel explorers as they scurry around and across the globe in a quest to enlighten the planet of the reality of drug usage from a remote Venezuelan village where the usage of drugs is commonplace as advocated by their medicine men in the establishing of a “spiritual awakening” among their people, to Nepal where a special form Marijuana called Hashish is made legal in a temporary basis, and finally to the city of Amsterdam, notorious for legal and widespread drug usage, where drugs have become one of the central objects for leisure, most especially in the club scene.
