This series chronicles the accounts of major Nazi personalities involved in the Nuremberg Trials. It is the second part of a three-part special, originally released in 2006 in a documentary format. This episode follows the account of the man who became the second-most powerful man in Germany, the founder of the Gestapo, the commander-in-chief of the German Air Force (Luftwaffe), and Marshal of the Realm (Reichsmarschall) of the Defence Force (Wehrmacht), Hermann Wilhelm Göring.
In the trials, his charges included crimes against humanity and war crimes, and was supposedly the highest-ranking Nazi to face trial. Sentenced to death by hanging, he chose to commit suicide via cyanide a day prior to his execution.
