Mummified Child

“History Cold Case” is a 4-part documentary series released by BBC in 2010 that takes experts on journey around the world to seek skeletons of random people. Headed by University of Dundee forensic anthropologist professor Susan Margaret Black, their team analyzes these remains to discover their identity, history, and cause of death.

In the second part of this documentary, the forensics team of the Centre of Human Anatomy and Identification turn back the hands of time to learn about the past of a mummified child. They discover the child lived during the 19th century on a quest to find out who he is, why he died, and what his life story is. Black and her team uncover a series of dark truths starting from body snatching to serial murder and anatomical science of the Victorian era.
