The United States has been involved in several wars in history. Even though the American government vehemently claims that their purpose is to help those in need, several people, including their own citizens, are against these wars. In fact, there are numerous rumors and conspiracy theories going around. These have given rise to several documentaries and movies including the 2006 film “Flags of Our Fathers.”
In this short documentary film, Director Tom Trinley provides a comprehensive report about the myths surrounding the war monuments found scattered in America. Borrowing a 1965 Airstream trailer, Trinley visits the different rock and bronze monuments like the Purchase of Manhattan in New York, Christopher Columbus in Chicago, and Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota.
The film contains interviews of various people who Trinley met during his trip giving viewers different stories and opinions about the history of the United States. He exposes secrets relating to people who are bent on maintaining these myths and their reasons.
