Dubbed as “Dr. Death”, Dr. Jack Kevorkian was an American physician who gained popularity for carrying out assisted suicides for terminally ill patients. During his career, Dr. Kevorkian performed at least 130 assisted suicides, mostly during the 90s when the procedure was frowned upon. Eventually Dr. Kevorkian was arrested and sentenced in 1999 then released on parole in 2007.
