Keith Moon: Final 24: His Final Hours

Keith Moon Final 24: His Final Hours is a documentary series detailing the events that lead to the death of The Who drummer, Keith Moon. The documentary begins by sharing a background of Keith Moon’s story when he is not in front of the public’s eyes. It aims to explain his way of thinking and what could have eventually led to his death.

Moon’s death has been widely believed to be a part of his mental and psychological breakdown resulting from withdrawal symptoms. The series recounts the last 24 hours before Moon’s death. Highlight of the film includes Paul and Linda McCartney’s private preview of The Buddy Holly Story on September 6, 1978 with Moon in attendance. He would be found dead in his home soon after the private viewing. The documentary was put together through dramatic reenactments, actual footage and interviews.
