The cabin measures 400 square feet of living space and can comfortably house up to 6 people. It has a full loft, a large bedroom and office while the ground floor has a bathroom, living room, kitchen, and dining area.

Lamar Alexander’s cabin uses 580 watts of solar power and 400 watts of wind power that can power televisions, various gadgets, lights, a 12-volt fridge, a laptop, and water pump. Propane and wood stove is used for heat source while the toilet utilizes a septic tank system or through composting. The cabin is fully insulated to protect the residents from harsh climates. It has been designed to last for a year and is perfect for families who are just beginning their lives and for vacation cabins.
