In 2007, History Channel produced “Hitler’s British Girl” which was about Unity Mitford, a 25-year-old English woman who fell in love with Hitler. Upon learning that her mother country of England declared war on the Fuhrer, Unity went to a park in Munich where she shot herself in the head as an ultimate display of her devotion to Hitler.
The documentary film includes various testimonies from witnesses and historians including documents that have never been released to the public. It is shown how this aristocrat became heavily infatuated with the Fuhrer and even became on his most trusted allies. Unity spent about five years with Hitler as they planned world domination. Viewers will also see how Unity was able to survive her suicide attempt in 1939 when the war began until the time of her death in 1946 because of the bullet wound.
