The Trials of Ted Haggard

Alexandra Pelosi takes us an exclusive look at the life of ex-minister Pastor Ted. Ted Haggard, most commonly known as Pastor Ted, is an evangelical pastor and founder of the New Life Church in Colorado Springs. He lived a seemingly perfect life being the leader of the National Association of Evangelicals, a ministry that reached up to 30 million followers, a loving wife and five kids. But his perfect world came tumbling down when a scandal hit him in November of 2006.

He was accused of hiring an escort service for three years specifically from escort and masseur Mike Jones. On top of that he was allegedly proven to be purchasing and using crystal meth. After the explosion of this scandal, he resigned from all of his leadership positions and responsibilities and sought intensive counselling from four ministers that lasted for three weeks.

The Trials of Ted Haggard follows the life of the exiled pastor and the hardships he and his family faced after the scandal. We get to see through interviews by Pelosi about how the ex-minister is dealing with life and supporting his family with his new job as a travelling insurance salesman.
