Mark Edward Smith, or Mark E. Smith, was famously known as the front man and the one constant member of the British post-punk group The Fall. The band was originally formed in Prestwich, Manchester. Aside from their music, the band has been more famous for constantly changing the line-up of its members, save for Mark E. Smith. Although the band hasn’t really gained a wide public success, they have a strong and solid cult following of loyal fans.
This hour long BBC Four documentary gives us a better peek at the band and their only constant member and founder Mark E. Smith. We see more about the band’s history and how it goes through its change in members. This documentary also features key people in The Fall’s career like John Peel, Stewart Lee and Marc “Lard” Riley.
