If death had a face, it could be that of Edward Theodore “Ed” Gein. He was an American murderer and body snatcher who terrorized his hometown of Plainfield, Wisconsin. His crimes were only uncovered after Gein was caught digging up corpses of graves from the local graveyards. He used the bones and skin of the bodies he stole turning each into his own twisted home decor. In 1957, the police uncovered body parts strewn all over his home. This was the same time when he confessed to the murder of two young women namely Mary Hogan and Bernice Worden.
