Ever wonder how you got to where you are right now? Some people are lucky enough to think they have their lives figured out. They know exactly how and why they ended in that very moment. But for some, it’s hard to determine why they go through all these challenges, not knowing why they subject themselves to such tests.
We live much of our lives preparing for our dreams. More than half of our lives are spent on schools, studying and specializing on something.
But the thing is, despite thinking that you have everything figured out, life will be right there and thrusting you into the unknown. Live is full of many adventures just waiting to be explored and human beings are not meant to stick to a single path. Our beliefs, our temperament and even our subconscious could lead us to other paths, some greater than others. Just like how any situation could turn so much different than what we initially thought, our emotions could change in a heartbeat. All these elements come to play that will change the course of your path.
We spend most of our lives preparing for professional success. From the minute you were born to your formative years, your parents will feed your ambition, always hoping that you will achieve so much more than they ever could. And there’s nothing wrong with that. In fact, this is an important part of who you are.
But the thing is, if you want to live a carefree life, if you want to liberate yourself from the pressure of your parents (and society’s) expectations, you don’t go out into this world with a plan. This doesn’t mean dropping out of school and spending the rest of your life watching reruns of your favorite show. It means not letting others and society lead you to a certain path that they deem as acceptable.
You carve your own path, you make your own adventures, you explore places, things and people along the way. This is the essence of life, to live for the moment, not to waste away.
What you are fated to do will happen, your journey will take you there. Wouldn’t you want to enjoy the ride while you’re at it? For example, if you’ve always wanted to become a scientist and you are halfway there and then suddenly, you realize that your passion is no longer about finding the cure for cancer but to make art out of solid rocks, then no matter how long you saw yourself in scrubs in your mind’s eye, you will become what you are fated to become. Fate is a force stronger than your preconceived notions.
Rather than bend over backwards to be accepted by society, why don’t you put faith in yourself instead? Your inner being is powerful and you don’t even realize it. You don’t even know how true power exists within one’s self! When you put your faith in yourself, everything will fall into place. You will find direction, the reason why you are brought to this world.
