Using our conscious and subconscious mind, we can open ourselves up to limitless potential the universe has to offer, including transforming to the ideal versions of ourselves. The power of the mind is as complex as it is mysterious. In the same manner than athletes can manipulate their bodies to achieve more, so too can our minds.
Religiously conditioning the mind every day, we will be able to gain better understanding of the connection between the vibrations of energy we produce and the universe. This will also further our understanding about the value of improving our will, focus, and character in order to reach our destiny and open our minds to limitless possibilities.
Although we were meant to achieve perfection, we need to dedicate ourselves into striving whole-heartedly and with full commitment in order to become the ideal versions of ourselves. Training the mind is not only meant for attaining your set goals in life, it will also help you in having all the integral parts of your being, which consist of the body, mind, soul, and subconscious, work together in harmony to guide you to the rightful path.
Mastering The Art of Mind Training
There are several types of mind-training techniques you can do to master and control the mind. Most of the time, these exercises would seem to be too easy and boring but if you are able to perform them properly, they can provide your life with greatly positive outcomes.
Again, dedication and perseverance are important so you need to perform these techniques every day. This exercise will demand repetitive conditioning and consistent practice in order to train your mind and will yourself to achieve your goals. Constantly repeating something or visualizing your goals repeatedly, as explained by the previous articles, produces vibrations of energy which will attract people and events who resonate the same type of energy. This will also leave imprints in our subconscious which makes the energy we produce become even more powerful.
The first mind-training technique we need to learn is contemplation. This exercise is done by feeding the mind a specific statement we want, perhaps a mantra that we can repeat over and over again in our mind. We make the mind think about each statement for at least five minutes per day. You can create any mantras you want your mind to think about.
An example could be one of the major psychological functions of the mind, “We can will ourselves to success”. During the five minutes of your mind-training, think about every end result possible by believing in this statement. As you are doing this, your mind will eventually come up with several answers as well as additional questions which may lead you towards the right path.
Think about the constant communication which exists between our being and the other elements that make up the universe and that our energy dictates whatever our experiences are. Because of this, we need to keep ourselves aware of what thoughts, beliefs and views our consciousness is allowed to have in order to reach the success we want in life. As we go through this exercise, our mind gets to see the bigger picture of life. We are able to see the connection between us and everything that surrounds us.
By learning this we will be able to know how to use them as tools for achieving success. On the other hand, as our mind is able to focus on these important details, its attention may also be sidetracked into thinking about trivial things which have no relation to the statement you have now. Concerns about what you will wear to the birthday party of a friend, what gift you will buy, what food and drinks will be served, and any other trivial thoughts may lead you away from mind training so make sure you will your mind to achieve unwavering focus, similar to meditating. Being sidetracked is quite normal especially if you are mind training for the first time. As you progress, you will learn how to keep your mind focused on a single thought for longer.
The key is to achieve laser-focus is to keep certain objects that remind you of your mantra, nearby. An excellent way to do this to write down your mantra on a post-it and stick it in front of you during the mind training.
This will minimize the risks of your mind from wandering off. Of course with practice your concentration will become stronger. The techniques of contemplation will make your statements become your beliefs. It can even change the existing set of beliefs you had prior to the exercise which means your personality may also change once you’re done. This exercise will make us have a better understanding of the power of the mind and how it can lead us towards achieving better things, all the while leading you to become the ideal version of yourself.
