“What A Way To Go: Life at the end of Empire” is a feature-length documentary film written, directed, and starred by Tim Bennett. In this film, viewers will get to see the story of a middle-class white guy who learned grim facts about the growing environmental problems. He started noticing the problem in the mid-1980’s but only had the chance to do something about it in 2007 when he made the film.
Bennett discusses numerous issues involving Climate Change, Overpopulation, Mass Extinction, and the continuous rise of oil prices. He begins the film by re-learning the things he already knew but always overlooks like the different Midwestern stories of his roots.
According to Bennett, the fact that humankind was destined to rule the rest of the living creatures of the planet could be the primary reason why we are facing these problems today.
In order to support his theories, Bennett interviewed well-respected scientists Stuart Pimm and William Schlesinger.
He also gathered the expert opinions of authors Derrick Jensen, Richard Heinberg, and Daniel Quinn.
